Saturday the 25th March see's the first round first round of the West Australian gravel Rally Championship's being run. Based at Kin Kin Retreat just past Manjinup in the states south west.
Kin Kin Rally is an all new rally with new roads with Richard Delfos at the helm and a very experienced team helping him.
Here are some pre rally snippets -
- Gary Whittle - Steve Vass the 2015 state champions make a return in there Rezolt Subaru after 12 months off.
Mike Joss - Megan Loguemakes is back up and running with his red Nissan Silvia s15 after a heavy impact with nature at the start of last year.
- Young Monique Smith makes her debut in the silly seat next to Terry Hughes in the Thornlie Towing Daihatsu Applause. Monique would have to be one of the youngest at 14 competitors ever on a State Championship event.
- Once Terry and Monique finish the Clubman Cup part of Kin Kin Rally, Terry jump's in to his truck to go and pickup any unfortunate competitors who have had mishaps on the event.
- Geoff Leatt-Hayter - Paul Helm make a return after severely damaging his car in the 2015 Darling 200. This time the Aluminium Products 1964 Nissan 180sx will be sporting a white livery with a little back through n in.
- Fast APRC competitor Mike Young swop's the drivers seat for the navigator's seat in Andy Van Kann's Trade Hire Toyota Corolla TE27 while Madelin Kirkhouse who normally sit's in the silly seat next to Andy jump's in with partner Tom Wilde in the Verandah Apartments Honda Civic.
- Another new competitor out to play in the Kin Kin Rally is Raymond Brandt driving the Mister Frosty/Elite Motor Co Subaru spec C WRX with Jo McIlroy calling the notes for him.
