The event has several Western Australian involve in it from Glen MacNeall who is co-driver for Gaurav Gill from India who is currently second in the series to there team mates Jan Kopecky/Pavel Dreler from the powerful Team MRF Skoda which is run by Perth based Race Torque Engineering. Another competitor base out of Perth is New Zealander Mike Young who drives for Cusco Racing Japan in a Proton Satria Neo currently leading  the 2wd and Junior championship. Rally Hokkaido Japan, the event is round 5 of the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championships + the Asia Cup and part of the Japanese rally championships. The rally will be based on the north island of Japan, Hokkaido in Obihiro the area is more known for its farming region than motorsport.

As for me I will be somewhere around the event with my camera in hand taking photos of the event and what Obihiro and the area around has to offer.
