Carrington's Traffic Service's Safari Rally, the final round of the West Australian Rally Championships came down to a three way chase for the championship's. With John O'Dowd and Ken Sheils winning the rally but just missing out on the on the championship with Tom Wilde and Madelin Kirkhouse getting enough point's finishing third just behind the only other team of Stephen Oxley and Steve Vass the take the Series win for 2017 in there 2wd Honda Civic up against the more powerful Turbo 4wd Subaru's of the other two team's.
