2018 Kirup Stages
Wheels on Yirrgan Kumho Tyres Kirup Stages is the fourth round of the Western Australia Rally Championships and the WA Clubman Series held in the Grimwade plantation area near Kirup. With plenty of rain early in the week then dry for two days leading up to the rally made for perfect conditions for the event. With the event getting taken out by Stephen Oxley and Michael Wood for the second year in a row in there CASA Security Subaru with Kody Reynolds and Anthony Staltari coming in second in the Trade Hire Subaru. Third was John O'Dowd and Toni Feaver in the maximum Motorsport Subaru after a troubled run after a heavy landing on the first stage.
two wheel drive went to Mike Joss and Megan Logue in the S15 Nissan Silvia, second going to Alex and Lisa White in their S13 Nissan Silvia and third going to Simon Gratton and Richard Harris in the Honda Civic.
Clubman Cup was taken out by Stephen Mackinlay and Lachlan Beresford in a Mitsubishi MirageAsti with Graeme and Kathy Miles in their Mitsubishi lancer in second. Third went to Stephen Vass and Ashley Burton in the Datsun 1600 and four went to Rod Fowler and Keith Mayes in a Peugeot 206 Gti with Rod on his first rally and Keith making a return after a 25 plus year break.
